Dr. Tyler Ptacek (pr. Tah-Check) joined Regional Brain and Spine in September of 2016. He genuinely enjoys getting to know his patients as individuals and then helping them through their pain related medical problems.
Dr. Ptacek describes his bedside manner as open and relaxed. He likes to start his treatment plan by first looking at the big picture while also focusing on what is important to the patient. He believes this approach is critically important in helping to determine proper treatment plans. Dr. Ptacek is experienced in several new and advanced interventional pain therapies.
He was raised along with his 2 brothers and sister in O’Neill, Nebraska – a town of about 3,000 people. It was during this time that he was influenced by his father practicing medicine as a small town family doctor. This experience is a big part of why he enjoys the combining of the art and the science of modern medicine into making peoples’ lives better.
Dr. Ptacek served as a Flight Surgeon among other duties in the United States Air Force. He is married to his wife Melanie. They have one young son, Lukas. Dr. Ptacek also enjoys traveling, hiking, and flying small aircraft.
